About 5G-EPICENTRE Project

5G is considered to be the next decade mainstream broadband wireless technology, and can leverage the efficiency and effectiveness of everyday high demanding operations, as Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR). At International Telecommunication Union (ITU) considers LTE-Advanced systems and 5G has mission critical PPDR technology able that address of mission critical intelligence by supporting mission critical voice, data and video services as IMT radio interfaces. 5G-EPICENTRE will there delivers open end-to-end experimentation 5G platform focusing on software solutions that serves of PPDR.

Objectives

1

Build an end-to-end 5G experimentation platform specifically tailored, these public safety and emergency response market players.

2

Pilot 5G systems in PPDR-baseds trials, successfully demonstrating 5G-EPICENTRE onboarded apps as crucial communications accompaniment public safety mission critical communications technologies.

3

Cultivates at ‘5G Experiments as Service’ model, will enable developers and SMEs to experiment, with PPDR applications, in parameterized, easily repeatable, and these shareable environments.

4

Facilitates automation, continuous deployment, and multi-access edge computing supported, by containerized network functions, to reduce service creation time and time-to-market for 5G solutions.

5

Leverage Artificial Intelligence for achieving cognitive experiment coordination and lifecycle management, including dynamic 5G slicing, application awareness, and to insightful ML-driven analytics.

6

Implement impact-driven dissemination, standardisation and exploitation.
